What is Lumera?

Lumera creates made-to-order solid-surface vanity tops, integrated sinks, furniture, and sculptural pieces designed around the spaces they inhabit.

Our pieces combine digital design with hands-on fabrication in our Connecticut studio.

Are Lumera products made to order?

Yes. Lumera products are made to order rather than pulled from mass-produced inventory.

Depending on the product, you can select from standard sizes and configurations or work with our team to customize the piece for your space.

Can I customize a Lumera design?

Yes. Most Lumera designs can be customized in size, color, configuration, and other project-specific details.

Choose the design you like and select Start a Design Consultation. Our team will work with you one-on-one to determine what your space requires.

Do I need to know my exact dimensions before contacting you?

No.

That's one of the reasons we offer our guided Design Consultation. You don't need to arrive with every detail figured out. We'll help determine what information is needed and guide you through the process.

How does the Design Consultation work?

After submitting a Design Consultation request, a member of our team will contact you to learn more about your project.

Consultations can be completed virtually, allowing us to review your space, dimensions, cabinetry, design preferences, and other project details without requiring a traditional showroom visit.

When necessary, we may request photographs, drawings, measurements, or other project information before finalizing your design.

Can you help me take measurements?

Yes. We can guide you through the measurements required for your project and explain exactly what we need.

For custom pieces, final dimensions and specifications will be reviewed before the order is released for fabrication.

What materials does Lumera use?

Lumera specializes in premium solid-surface materials selected for their durability, seamless appearance, repairability, and ability to create forms that are difficult to achieve with conventional countertop materials.

Available materials and colors vary by product.

Are the sinks actually part of the countertop?

For designs featuring an integrated solid-surface sink, yes.

The sink and surrounding surface are fabricated to create a clean, continuous appearance with minimal visible transitions.

Can I order a custom color?

Available colors depend on the selected design and material. If you don't see the color you're looking for, submit a Design Consultation and our team can review additional options with you.

Do you make completely custom pieces?

Yes. In addition to customizing existing Lumera designs, we can evaluate fully bespoke projects.

Submit a Design Consultation with information about what you're looking to create, and our team will determine whether the project is a good fit for our fabrication capabilities.

Where are Lumera products made?

Lumera pieces are fabricated in Connecticut, USA by our fabrication team.

How long does an order take?

Lead times vary based on the product, material, level of customization, and current production schedule.

An estimated production timeline will be provided with your order or during the Design Consultation process. Lead times begin once all required specifications and approvals are complete.

Do you ship?

Yes. Shipping options depend on the size, weight, and destination of the order. Larger pieces may require freight or specialized delivery.

Is installation included?

Installation is not included unless specifically stated in your order.

Depending on the project and location, installation services may be available or we can provide information your contractor or installer needs to properly install the piece.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

Contact Lumera promptly and do not install or modify the product.

Photograph the product and packaging and retain all shipping materials while we review the issue. See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for complete instructions.

Can made-to-order products be returned?

Because Lumera products are manufactured specifically for each order, made-to-order and custom products are generally final sale once released for production.

Do Lumera products have a warranty?

Yes. Lumera provides a one-year limited warranty against defects in fabrication and workmanship to the original purchaser.

Can solid surface be repaired?

One of the major advantages of solid surface is its repairability. Many scratches, chips, and other surface damage can be professionally repaired or refinished.
